Austin Flower-Friendly Wedding Venues

Austin Wedding Venues that cater to Florists and Flower Installations.

Flowers can brighten and enhance any venue space but there are certain Austin wedding venues that have our heart because of the ways in which they both enhance the aesthetic of our flowers and are prepared for a variety of flower installations, making our job as florist mechanic extraordinaire much easier. Here are our favorite Austin wedding and event venues to flower.

  1. The Grand Lady

Not only is The Grand Lady an absolutely charming wedding venue on its own, with their historic mansion, secret garden and picturesque landscapes, but the modern reception hall is equipped with perfectly spaced rigging hooks specifically added with florists in mind. Their attention to detail, communication and willingness to work with vendors to make client dreams a reality is unparalleled.

  2. Commodore Perry

It’s hard to find a single nook at The Commodore Perry that isn’t completely enchanting. With built-in gardens surrounding the elegant European architecture, this wedding venue is literally surrounded by flowers making it one of our favorite flower-friendly venues. No matter which space your event is being held, there are endless vignettes that are perfectly primed for flowers.

  3. Wish Well House

It’s the lighting and layout that win this venue a place on our list. With walls of windows that look out onto a perfectly manicured lawn right in the heart of Georgetown, this newer wedding venue is one of my favorites to design in. Light plays a crucial role in how your event and flowers are photographed and the light here is beyond dreamy. The owner (and designer) for this venue also added the most thoughtful touches to the bride and groom suites and even the back stairwell leading up to these suites. All with floral wallpapers that serve up plenty of design inspiration for your event.

  4. Mattie’s Austin

Who doesn’t love a family of Peacocks accenting their already magical day? Aside from the majestic wildlife, the grounds at Mattie’s are beautifully manicured with thoughtful attention given to every angle. Even the back porch, typically utilized for cocktail hour, has the most beautiful tile pattern work giving focal interest through color and texture and giving us another element of inspiration to work into your floral designs. The tent allows for many variations of hanging greenery or floral with plenty of rigging attachment points to help florists succeed in their hanging installation endeavors.

If you are wedding or event venue shopping in Austin and flowers are high on your priority list, I highly recommend considering one of these locations for your celebration and hiring Ida Mayes to help you accent and enhance the natural elegance of their spaces.
