Thanksgiving Centerpieces

Hello Lovely!

The weekend is winding down and I am so sad to see it go—it was simply gorgeous here in Austin. I spent most of the weekend cleaning up the garden and planting out my pre-sprouted bulbs from Floret Flowers. I set two alarms for the Floret bulb sale because Erin sells out in a single day, but thankfully, I managed to snag everything on my wishlist! I have roughly 60 Black and White plus Bordeaux Anemones as well as Champagne Ranunculus bulbs and multiple tulip varieties planted. Mission accomplished!

Now I can start focusing on the next task at hand, Thanksgiving. I LOVE Thanksgiving! It is one of my favorite holidays, not only because it’s the time of year where I make and eat pounds of my mom’s famous rice salad guilt free, but because of the universal feeling of gratefulness you see in those around you. We certainly don’t hear enough thanks in our day to day lives.

I am incredibly grateful for so many things this year. We are finally reaching the end of my husband’s journey to being a PhD grad. We have moved from Oregon to Tennessee to Texas as he pursues this path and he will defend his thesis in February. Yay! There are so many unknowns ahead of us this year but I can honestly say I am so excited for our next adventure and incredibly grateful for the the past 10 years of friendships and provisions we’ve experienced.

All that being said, I would love to share my Thanksgiving joy with you this season through flowers. I am offering a discounted Thanksgiving centerpiece ($60) for those who may be interested and are looking for your Thanksgiving table decor. The image in this post is an indication of one vase option which will be yours to keep, there is also an option for a wooden box arrangement that measures 4x12 inches.

I need at least 5 people to sign up in order to offer these centerpieces at the $60 rate. Feel free to call or message me with any questions/orders. All orders need to be in by Sunday, November 4th.

Can’t wait to hear from you!

Hello, Lovelies!

Thanks so much for stopping by our new site!

In case you are new to Ida Mayes Floristry, we are based in Austin, Texas and specialize in floral designs for intimate weddings and private gatherings. Our designs are thoughtful, organic, and unique, emphasizing the natural movement of flowers and the inconsistencies of color, texture and structure within each season.

Whenever possible, I prefer to use locally grown flowers for events but source outside of the Austin area as needed. My floral journey began 10 years ago on a cut-flower farm so supporting local growers is a mission near to my heart. Our goal is to soon own a larger piece of land for growing cut-flowers. I have completely exhausted my flower beds in our current home so land is next on our agenda.

I believe every event should be a celebration and every celebration can be spectacular by incorporating flowers or greenery.

I look forward to working with you and getting to know you on our Instagram page. There is always something in the works at Ida Mayes Floristry and I can’t wait to share it all with you.

Stay a while and explore our new site and feel free to drop us a love note!
